    Case Study: Commercial Hydraulics Pumps

At Hydraulics Online we have extensive, competitive access to both leading and lesser-known hydraulic pump manufacturers from all other the world – including Commercial Hydraulics pumps.

Having peace of mind is key when buying any hydraulic equipment; you want to be able to “fit and forget”. We also understand that sometimes you actually needed something “yesterday” and that your budget is always being asked to stretch that… little… bit… further.

That’s why we offer a range of completely interchangeable, direct equivalents to the Commercial Hydraulics pumps range. Built and tested here in the UK, you can be assured of a quality product that can more often than not be dispatched within 24 hours. So, even if you’re literally stranded on a vessel out at sea, we can take the pressure!

Staying close to home, a company who supply spare parts for the mining, construction, cement, oil and gas industries enquired about a direct equivalent to a Commercial Hydraulics P51 pump. They had bought a similar pump from us about six weeks previously and their customer was more than happy with its performance. Like the original Commercial Hydraulics P51 pump, the direct equivalent (pictured here) has a priority flow divider.

Other features of the Commercial Hydraulics P51 pump (and the equivalent) include: speeds of up to 2400 rpm and pressures up to 3000 psi (206 bar) and output flows reaching up to 66 gpm (250 lpm). The PGM050 (and equivalent) pump has an average torque of up to 1720 in-lbs (2016 kg-cm) at 2000 psi (137 bar) while the PGM051 (and equiavlent) pump has an average torque of up to 2250 in-lbs (2592 kg-cm) at 2500 psi (172 bar). Optional priority, two-speed, and unloader valves are available.

Commercial Hydraulics Pumps 2Travelling a little further afield, a large offshore oil company recently enquired about a Commercial Hydraulics P365 / P330 tandem pump; there was no time to spare as there was a breakdown on one of their accommodation rigs. The Commercial Hydraulics pumps were on an 18 week lead time, not the news the customer wanted to hear, however, we were able to offer a direct equivalent (pictured here) from stock… a quality product, built and tested here in the UK. The customer placed their order instantly and the pump was dispatched within 24 hours.

Some of the features of the Commercial Hydraulics P365 pump (and the direct equivalent) include: speeds ranging between 900-2400 rpm and fluid displacements up to 9.0 cir (147.5 ccr). It maintains a continuous pressure up to 3500 psi (241 bar) with intermittent pressures up to 4000 psi (275 bar) and has output flows of up to 90.7 gpm (343.3 lpm). The motor torque ranges from 1705-3740 in-lbs (1964-4308 kg-cm) at 2400 rpm. It also includes high strength, one-piece integral shafts.

Features of the Commercial Hydraulics P330 pump features include: Speeds from 900-3000 rpm; Fluid displacements up to 3.94 cir (64.6 ccr); continuous pressures up to 3500 psi (241 bar) with intermittent pressures up to 4000 psi (275 bar); Output flows up to 50.1 gpm (190 lpm); Motor torque from 980-1685 in-lbs (1129-1941 kg-cm) at 3000 rpm; High strength one-piece integral shafts.

So, one last example… a UK-based ship maintenance and supplies company enquired after a Commercial Hydraulics P365 Series pump. After quoting on the original Commercial Hydraulics P365 unit, we also offered to quote on the “direct equivalent” with its keener cost and lead time.

Again, the P365 equivalent (pictured here) is a quality, British product offering the same features and performance as the original Commercial Hydraulics pump; it reaches speeds between 900-2400 rpm and has fluid displacements up to 9.0 cir (147.5 ccr) and maintains a continuous pressure of up to 3500 psi (241 bar) with intermittent pressures up to 4000 psi (275 bar). Output flows reach up to 90.7 gpm (343.3 lpm) and motor torque ranges between 1705-3740 in-lbs (1964-4308 kg-cm) at 2400 rpm. This pump also includes a high strength one-piece integral shaft. Needless to say, the customer ordered the direct equivalent and took delivery sooner than he had hoped possible, with money to spare!
