Known for their durability and functionality, a Parker hydraulic pump will perform in even the toughest of environments and applications. The range comprises: tandem, gerotor, gear, screw, hydrostatic transmission, axial piston, gear and vane pumps. We’ll look at each Parker hydraulic pump briefly now:
Parker tandem piston pump:
Parker’s HP2 Series consists of two independently controlled over-centre piston pumps on a single drive shaft. Housed in a compact reservoir with a filter and associated valving, the typical input speed is 3600 rpm with an intermittent pressure of 2600 psi.
Parker Gerotor pump:
The Parker QPM3 Gerotor Pump is a low pressure pump for high efficiency (up to 10 bar, flow rate from 20 to 80 L/min), while the GPP2 High Speed/Low Torque (HSLT) design (pictured) provides speeds to 5000 RPM and continuous pressure to 2000 PSI. Aluminium construction offers optimum power to weight ratio.
Parker bent axis piston pumps:
F1/F2 fixed displacement bent-axis truck pumps, F11 small frame and F12 large frame fixed displacement bent-axis pumps and motors, T1 fixed displacement axial piston pumps truck applications, T12 dual displacement bent-axis motors, VP1 load sensing truck pump, V12 small frame and V14 large frame variable displacement bent-axis motors. F11 and F12 VOAC pumps are bent axis, fixed displacement heavy duty motor/pump series.
Parker GR screw pump:
Offering a long service life and quiet operation, Parker GR screw pumps are dependable, economical low pressure pumps free from pulsations. These rotary pumps with axial flow have only three moving parts and can be installed in any position, as well as above oil level. The secondary screws act as seals and are turned hydraulically by the fluid being pumped. There is only a rolling action between the main screw and the secondary screws, which eliminates noise and vibration.
A number of other brands come under the Parker banner too; the Parker hydraulic pumps range actually also includes “Commercial Hydraulics” and “Denison Hydraulics” pumps.

Commercial Hydraulics are now part of the Parker Group, with the Commercial Parker hydraulic pump series often referred to as the industry standard against which all others are measured. Previously branded Commercial pumps, motors and flow dividers are still made to the same exacting standards by Parker; the only difference is that the previous Commercial product codes are now preceded by “PG” (Parker Group).
